...and they say women are complicated

Shopping can lift the mood of any women in the universe..
Did i hear cricket?baseball?aah sleeping..no?psp?No one knows what works for all the men..& they say women are cimplicated...

Women at any point of time like dressing up, doing make up..
Men may or may not dress up to the occassion..& the ones who do are labelled heterosexual..ott..& what not..some are look conscious some dont even bother..& they say women are complicated..

Women cry when they have to..they laugh aloud when needed...
Men? do they cry? do they laugh their heaŕt out? always restricted...aaarghh..!& then they say women are complicated...???? really???

Women cant keep secrets..they speak out all they have..
Men keep secrets..they keep their heart filled with stuffs..they wont simply say it..but they do say women are complicated...

Women are accused of being too emotional..
Men..can u even handle an emotional situation...what?yes?give example..no?aaah..did u say women are complicated?

Lil smile infinite happiness...serendipity

Listening to vicco termeric audio in a multiplex..
Seeing a 'KissMe' toffee bar on a shelf in a mall..
Seeing a 5 paise 10 paise 20 paise 25 paise coins in your piggy bank..
Flipping through old albums & getting sight of your own obnoxious fashion sense..
Reading the same forwarded message again & surprisingly laugh on it this time as well..
Hearing an old cult song & wondering how did it became so famous..people hummed it..actually? What are you saying? "amma dekh tera munda bigda jaye","garam chai ki pyali","tan tana tan tan tan tara"..
when u realize your old clothes lying in cupboard since ages still fit you..there smiled your lips :)
Finding a misplaced object & realizing you kept it in this very place..a face palm..ishhh :D
Ecstacy spills over after discovering some currency notes in long forgotten torn jeans pockets..
You are pleasantly surprised when you see a school mate awaiting the same train as you..that quick candid chat refreshes you..

The lost "hUmAn(E)" in Human Resource Management

Case I: Thanks! But No Thanks!

Dear could have been employer,

I am an interview candidate seated in a corner of your office; you probably would not bother to know. XYZ Private Ltd. does not value the time of an interview candidate. In all the five days I have come here, I have been called at morning 10.30 with any process happening only at 6 in the evening. One day it even happens that I am waiting all day long & asked to leave office without even meeting any of the HR teams. I have spent 11+ hours (8 hour day + OT) at this office doing absolutely nothing. I have already gone through 4 rounds of screening & the company still is undecided on hiring me.

It’s a feeling of being demeaned, & my efforts & time are of no value to my prospective employer. I thank you for giving me this opportunity, but I think this is not working out for me. If it is about testing my patience, then all the days are not meant for it.

Regards,

An interview candidate
                                 ---------------------------------

Case II: You are a liability. We do a favour by hiring you…

Job candidates’ profile: Engineer + 2.5 years’ work experience + MBA + 2 to 3 certifications (mentioned in chronological order of occurrence)
In interview

The interviewer: Tell me about yourself

Candidate: I am……………………

The interviewer: Sounds interesting. But you are just out of MBA College so we will consider you a fresher. We will have to give you training & it will incur cost. You see they don’t teach you anything in your Engineering & MBA. It is all just theory & on paper. So you should be glad that you will be trained here & yet paid by us. So you are a liability to us for atleast the first 6 months of your job. We can at the max offer you a package of 3 lakh per annum.

Candidate: Smiling (forcefully out of courtesy. Freaking out & thinking, Ch***** hai kya? Rakh tera job)
                           ----------------------------------

Case III: Follow up

Interviewed candidate awaiting results: In mail

Hello Sneha (name used strictly for representation purpose only),

I was interviewed by Mr. Senior Manager 2 weeks ago. I am curious to know as to what is the outcome of my interview?

Awaiting to hear from you.

Regards,
An interview candidate

Candidate awaiting the reply of the mail: Over the telephone
Could I speak to Sneha?
Sneha: Hello
Candidate: Hello Neha. I am ABC & I came for an interview 3 weeks ago. I am still interested in the opening & would like to know the status of my candidature.
Sneha: I will give you a call by EOD (phone hung)

Candidate awaiting her call anxiously. EOD. Its 6 pm. Dialed number. Phone rings, no one takes the call. Next day, phone rings, no one pick up the call. Week went. No reply from Sneha or the XYZ Pvt. Ltd.

(PS: Don’t you feel it’s a responsibility of a company & the right of an interviewed candidate to know the outcome of their interviews?)

Sometimes the HR personnel are the rudest of all the employees in a company with the security & peons included.

An illegitimate affair...

Running off the site of a family friend...camouflaging from kin and foes alike...veiling the face, helmets on...on the go they go ..the heart humming love songs...embarking the rains they go on perfect romantic ride...barging on the orthodox clan, the excitement trills and the pump beats...when there is no other world outside each others' eyes..when every happiness seems to be over sized..

He belongs to an X state and she is from Y...their folks cannot see eye to eye...they are discouraged, threatened, brain washed...blackmailed with live emoticons...the mothers worried about rites and rituals being difference...the fathers concerned what others would say...they are the same parents who were so particular about their kids getting the best...giving them all to bring a smile to their face...but now suddenly all seems so dream like...so hollow...now the parents patronize...its a matter of ego and pride for them...the happiness and consent of kids are no more important...and the opposition continues....

The result could be...either they elope and live far far away, lonely, guilty all the time, haunted and in dismay... or they can simply die together if not live...either would they be scapegoats of honour killings or they would be tortured and separated forever...

Kalpana aur Haquiqat ka Dwand

So Indian men have the licence to RAPE..

Heard two elderly and educated men dicussing..and then he uttered.."vo udhar gayi hi kyun?"(why did she go there?)

So a lady going to a particular place or area gives these men an authority to RAPE them, right?

A girl wearing sleeveless, shorts, revealing dresses or having a drink or two permits these men to pounce up on her and destroy her being...

Okay! these act tempt them..they get aroused..well taken that..

So i am tempted now..i am desperate to kill these bastards..so shall i go and kill them..the most apt punishment they deserve and not these legal trials..

Spreading Gandhigiri-My Experience with Truth

I am writing this after doing a bit of mine in an unique endeavor of spreading awareness about and promoting literature based on the man called,

Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi

With a lot of reluctance and disinclination we- a team of 6 management students commenced our journey on a path unseen and less traveled. The first step for corporate selling activity was to find a corporate office where we would go and mind you it was a herculean task.

Finally we could get one such office and went there just for the sake of completing the activity. But the response we got there in terms of people's interest in Mr. Gandhi was astonishing. There was a little spark in our hearts which was enough to ignite into a eternal lamp of truth, non-violence, hope and resurrecting our beliefs on teachings on the Father of the Nation.

Time for the second step and we were much more enthusiastic about our venture and targeted a school as it was apt to know the minds of these little kids on Gandhiji. By now were already basking in the glory of success of our first selling activity and worked with double the valor. We showed the school kids a movie based on teachings of Gandhiji and a quiz on the Mahatma was conducted, to which the students responded very positively. In spite of some technical glitches and time constraints we came out with flying colors this time as well.

We happened to make some little friends for us as well and spread smiles. We were happy to spread the message of truth and non-violence to these little Samaritans who will carry forward the legacy. We sold around 160 odd books on Gandhiji and still counting.

Jagruti with the tag line -"Wakeup -Take up - Move up… Together" successfully achieves its purpose of inculcating - Entrepreneurial Training + Practical Learning + Ethical Decision Making amongst Management Students and society as a whole.

None the  less the activity has taught us many a lessons of life along with valuable management ones.

Now we know - one can ignore him, laugh at him, bad mouth him , hate him or love him, but cannot ignore him.

PS:
  • Jagruti - an initiative of Chetana's Institute of Management & Research, is an activity of creating awareness and sales of outreach for Gandhian Literature, modeled on NITIE program ‘Shanti Eva Jayate’ with Dr T. Prasad, NITIE as the mentor.
  • It was conceptualized in 2011 and is a completely student driven project. It is being successfully organized with over 720 students having a reached over 2,00,000 people through corporate displays, schools, exhibitions, railway stations, traffic signals.
  • Media coverage – DNA, Hindustan Times, Mumbai Mirror, IBN Lokmat, Navbharat Times, Loksatta, Bernama News (A Malaysian Daily), Akashwani, MUST Radio, 91.3 FM.

My Experiments with Truth....Part III

Summary

The third part of Gandhiji's autobiography can be distinguished into two parts:
( i ) Going to South Africa with his family
( ii ) His return to India
It starts from deciding attires of his family, home educating his children to acquitting his assailants . After the birth of his last child he practiced abstinence (Brahmacharya) and took up full-fledged social service. The seeds of self-help (Swavlamban) were sown with the English barber's denial to cut Gandhiji's hair. Throughout his stay in South Africa he worked for the betterment of rights and living of Indians there.

On arrival to India his stint with Congress began. He met veterans like Gokhale, etc. His sojourn in third class compartment of train introduced him to the plight of co-passengers. Benaras visit was another eye-opener in terms of prevailing insanity at holy places. His career took off really well in Bombay and he settled there. Keeping promise he returned to South Africa.

Learning

Washing his own clothes and cutting his hair, he exudes qualities like self-help and simplicity. Also his abnegation from sexual pleasures and switching to Satvik food shows his perseverance,  self-control and will power. His penchant towards patients, poor and ill-treated Indians in South Africa vouches for his philanthropic nature and resistance to injustice.

He exhibits courage and leadership forgiving his attackers and in trying to reform the sanitary practices of fellow Indians and honesty in not accepting gifts for his services to people. He earned respect and good relations serving the war-torn soldiers.
He has clear views about serving people and improving India and is unafraid to express his views. He accepts the slacks, dis-organization and casual approach of Congress workers and suggests measures for improvement.

It's the phase of a leader in making, who preaches by examples and has same regards for all kinds of work and people.

Satyamev Jayate...!!!

Indeed "Satyamev Jayate........" , but after loads of hardships, with hoards of opposition, discouragements, heartbreaks, and the difficult adjectives may continue to eternity....

First it was female foeticide , the second episode was on child sexual abuse and many more of these in store..
Yes you caught me right, i am talking of the new show on the idiot box- "Satyamev Jayate" . Only today, did I get a chance to chance to watch the show and to my disbelief it was too engrossing than i anticipated it to be..Yes there have been shows drawing same level of attention and as gripping as this one....there have been and are television programmes based on similar lines. But this is the one finds more takers and talkers than any other. Reason- involvement of Mr. Aamir Khan, doing the tricks promotional campaign, big shot promoters and of course the bigger production value.Said all this, it doesn't take away the quality of the "Satyamev Jayate" even a wee bit.

"Satyamev Jayate" has been in debates at office, awe in public gatherings and a rave on our best pal facebook. In bad lights, sometimes in good. "Aamir just wants to make profit", "the other Khan, involved in much more charity than him...", "a copy of a La-Oprah", "it won't change anything", "its very good show","it would ignite a chord nationwide" and many such. The "female foeticide" episode rekindling the almost death issue in Rajasthan. Doing more goods than bad.

No, its not that i am totally floored by the show or its concept or Aamir hosting it. But at the same time i cannot deny its face value (because of a star hosting it), greater reach by being telecast on national channel and most importantly the issues it is bringing to the lime light. The societal menace long being prevalent but under wraps, people shying away from those, neglecting them thinking its not my plight. People are such pessimists that they have become allergic to anything good and positive and we ourselves are to be blamed for it, our negligence, our "chalta hai" attitude. Its high time we change it as it can give birth to a barbaric society where, "an eye for an eye" would be the only justice and reason for rejoice.

I am not making any propaganda nor am i a social worker.Just an urge to my generation-ites if we make minor changes in ourselves, be a more patient, a little more tolerant, a little more sovereign, a little more compassionate and empathetic...a little effort from our side can change a the face of the world because "WE" are the face of the world!!!

May be then "Satyamev Jayate" (the phrase) would be more believable :-) :)

What do you call it...???

Dug ground…
Dunk walls…
Rusted ferrous…
Destroying the natural habitat.......they plant the lifeless ones….
Open spaces they attack to cover them into minute, suffocating blocks..…
Call them high end retails or address them as premium residential…..
All they have done is NO GOOD to our Mother….the Mother Nature….
Taking its toll on the health, lifestyles, temperatures, greens and the beings…
Everything so artificial, so fake about it, yet its called the REALty….

I can be a Hero…!!!

….his brawn goes unnoticed…his open chest is not meant to be drooled over….her temple breaking that drop of sweat does not brings an ““Oh My Gwaash…..!!!”” .The clothes they wear does not have many takers as a fad….they work day, they work night, they work in the sun, they work in the wind, be it rains or the chills…they can be found on their job…they rise earlier than the society…and no one has a track of their sleeping hours…they clean our filths, sometimes they serve as chauffeurs, sometime they are the curette…sometimes apothecary…then they become soldiers and some are cops….

…the sweeper cleans the street every morning…attracts my pity…the female who collects it all…the bus driver frustrated of the traffic yet drives it everyday with out fail…the cops he whistles at movers standing in the sun midst all the deadly smoke….the warrior at the desert and then in the minus heat…the news paper boy who comes every morning how much ever crude the weather be…milking his cow yet manages to reaches in time before tea…sometimes they are rude and abusive…in turn we curse them with all malice we have and for all the possible follies…but never would we try and empathize with them…that they too are human beings and life is few a times bad to them too…they are called corrupt…and cheap worthless people for us…but why can’t any of them be  our hero??
